Paravel’s digital logistics strategy needs to facilitate the processes of shipping and returning products that are personalized and sourced from multiple warehouses.
Their order delivery system is built on the concept of multi-shipments and that is an already tough situation to handle.
Aside from that, Paravel’s business model incorporates on-demand designs and customization for clients, as well as the delivery of bundled goods. To put it simply: products need to be personalized with a monogram at a different location, and then they need to be sent separately to fulfill the same order, and that is an extra layer of complexity that needed to be solved.
To handle the complexity of personalized items, Paravel employed numerous platforms and split order tracking information between them. This included Shopify, Bright Pearl, and multiple 3PL systems. In such circumstances keeping track of all orders, data became impossible.
